Mr. Smith was educated at the University of Delaware (B.A., 1998) and the Duke University School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 2002). While at Duke he was a staff editor for the Journal of Law and Contemporary Problems. After law school, Mr. Smith spent six years prosecuting criminals, including three years as a prosecutor with the Delaware Department of Justice.
