Prickett Jones Director Michael Hanrahan Speaks at Corporate Law Conferences
March 15, 2018
Prickett Jones director Michael Hanrahan served as a panelist at the Delaware Corporate Law Anniversary Symposium held at the Hotel duPont in Wilmington. The two-day symposium marked the 225th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Delaware Court of Chancery and the 50th Anniversary of the 1967 General Revision of the Delaware General Corporation Law.
Mr. Hanrahan participated as a commentator on the segment “The Oral History Project Presentation of Video on Smith v. Van Gorkom.” Van Gorkom, a milestone case in Delaware corporate litigation that is still taught in law school classrooms across the United States, was litigated successfully by Prickett Jones.
Mr. Hanrahan was also a panelist in a discussion titled “Practice After Corwin” at the Tulane Corporate Law Conference, one of the premier corporate and securities law conferences in the United States. The presentation, which included Delaware Supreme Court Justice C. J. Seitz, discussed trends in mergers and acquisitions litigation since the Delaware Supreme Court’s 2015 decision in Corwin v. KKR Financial Holdings LLC, including the impact that Corwin has had on litigation filed in Delaware.
